As we get older, I am beginning to find one issue rather annoying; and that’s that we seem to have less and less time to play the games we enjoy OR find the time to discover new hobbies. This is despite, for many of us, we wind up having either more or less time than ever before. It seems to be the same, less time to enjoy ourselves in spite of one or the other. Seemingly giving us another reason to covet those that came after us.
When I was younger, I did not have much time to do anything. Whether it was due to school, mental issues, or some other reason. But I somehow had way more time than I do now? I managed to have more time to discover new hobbies like the various art forms. Stippling, Photo-Editing, Calligraphy, Traditional Art- what have you. I had the time to discover it all, embrace it and practice. I managed to have more time to discover new interests like psychology, hiking, movies and television, games. This again, all in spite of having less time than I do now.
What is it that makes the younger generations either before or after us, have more time than we do. It confounds me with great envy that they manage to cultivate life better than we. Yet here I am, a large bulk of my day- free, and I cannot seem to find any time to do much of this. Heck, I even recently converted this blog and the other Lgbtree sites over to a managed VPS specializing in what have you. But something tells me I will have very little time to take advantage. This boggles the mind and makes little sense to me, yet here we are.
I covet the clock of those whom we give our future to, and envy those that come after. I miss the clock of my youth.
